Terry and Marsha Peretti have been serving in Italy since 1976. They have two grown children who were raised in Italy, Joshua, and Terra. >Terry and Marsha serve as field moderators for the missionaries in Italy. They both travel extensively throughout the country to preach tent crusades, street evangelism, revival meetings and camps. They are away from home about half of the time. There are over 1,200 pentecostal churches in Italy, and most are growing rapidly. >Terry and Marsha also direct the ministry of Global University, Bible School by Correspondence. There are over 3,000 active students. They have purchased under the name of the Assemblies of God, U.S.A. a town house in the city of Rome, that houses the Global University office. They also live in the building. >Terry has also enjoyed teaching in the Italian Assemblies of God Bible School for several years. >Terry says, "We enjoy the ministry of preaching the gospel and praying for the sick." We have seen God work in powerful ways throughout Italy. If we are but faithful to preach the gospel, God will work his power. We must learn to give time for the Holy Spirit to work in our services. >Pray for the Italian church which is presently passing through a time of cultural crisis. Italy is becoming rapidly, Cosmopolitan. The old traditions are changing rapidly. The church needs to adapt to the times, but keep the same message and the same power of pentecost. According to the Italian Evangelical Alliance, the evangelical church in Italy has grown from 250,000 believers in 1990 to over 500,000 believers in 2005. Of these believers in Italy, 40% are immigrants from third world countries. >Thanks for your prayers. > | |||||||
